“DJ Dan is the best resident DJ In the country”
Zane Lowe (Radio 1/MTV)

“DJ Dan is amazing! He’s the best alternative DJ I’ve ever seen in any venue”
Ben Newby (Po Na Na/Fez Club Group Promotions Manager)

DJ Dan is the UK’s biggest alternative DJ, playing to around 10000 people every week. He is also the creator of Propaganda, the UK’s largest indie night with regular club nights in London, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and across the UK. Propaganda has been featured in Heat Magazine, The Independent, The Daily Mirror & NME, while the audio visual extravaganza regularly features guest DJs including Lily Allen, Zane Lowe & The Kaiser Chiefs.

DJ Dan has DJed in New York, Ibiza, Barcelona and throughout the UK as well as at the Reading Festival and Snowbombing. What’s more he is Oasis’ DJ of choice playing for the band at their after-show parties on many occasions over the last few years including their BBC Electric Proms Show. As well as DJing for Oasis DJ Dan has also DJed to some of the most recognised names in music including Amy Winehouse, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, Aerosmith, Lily Allen, Muse and Courtney Love.

He has also DJed alongside Mark Ronson, Zane Lowe, Colin Murray and The Kaiser Chiefs. He has played at the launch party for E4’s new ‘Skins’ series as well as at the after-show party for BBC Radio 1’s Chris Moyles’ Comic Relief event. He has DJed to over 50,000 people at The Ashton Court Music Festival.

DJ Dan is far more than a standard DJ, hiding behind the DJ booth, and his ‘War on Boring DJs’ has gained him considerable media attention. Speaking to Bristol’s Venue magazine, he explained: “When I DJ, I like to show people that I’m enjoying myself and having a good time. I come to the front of the stage, jump around and really try and entertain, which I think really helps the crowd get into the music too”.

His success can also be attributed to the wide appeal of the music he plays. Although essentially an alternative DJ, his sets are made up of tracks which the majority of people know from the radio, regardless of whether they are into alternative music or not.
