HouseProud to perform ‘History of House’ set at BPM
HouseProud is a unique collective of highly experienced and talented DJs who are passionate about House music and put on successful and memorable club events at various venues and festivals across the UK. On Saturday the 18th October the House Proud DJs will play a unique ‘History of House’ set on the Pioneer Pro DJ Main Stage at BPM, mixing up classics and up-front tracks covering House music from across the years.
HouseProud consists of a core team of 4 DJs: Holly-Bee, Jonathan Dobson, Marky Mark and Brian Mole.
Holly-Bee's style combines up-to-the-minute funky breaks and beats with a very Housey feel, but she is never afraid to drop an old classic tune when the time is right. Recently she became a DJ for the well-known Kidology brand and also The IT Girls, a world class all-female dance act who are currently going from strength to strength. Holly has played at exciting venues across the globe including Twisted Republic (Bangkok), Green Mango (Koh Samui), La Grotta (Gozo), Dady 'O' (Cancun), and Oultra Lounge (Cancun).
Jonathan Dobson is one of the most talented DJs in the UK. With 15 years of experience Jonathan has an un-wavering passion for playing quality electronic music. He started out playing the free party scene whilst at University, where he was well known for his Progressive House and Goa Trance sets, heavily inspired by the likes of Paul Oakenfold and Sasha. More recently, he has slowed down the pace and can be found playing more stripped back House, Techno and Electro sounds.
Marky Marc is a highly experienced commercial DJ who started his career as resident DJ at Club Funky. Since then he has performed regular guest sets at Peach, Trade and Ministry and in various parts of the world, including a support slot for Jean-Michel Jarre’s millennium concert at the pyramids in Cairo, Egypt. Marc also had a residency at the Crazy House in Cairo and plays regular sets in Germany, Hungary, Ibiza and Dubai.
Brian Mole is one of the UK’s must active DJs and has been DJing to packed dancefloors since the early eighties. His musical tastes have roots in early eighties dance music, but have progressed through the evolution of House music. His sets are dynamically driven by audience reaction, and he loves to take crowds on a trip through House history from early seminal classic tracks right up to the latest electro cuts, taking in latin, balearic, funky, tech and big room tunes on the way, teasing the floor with the odd anthem for good measure.
