The rise of mp3 as a media format for DJs has happened faster than anyone could have predicted. For many DJs the days of rocking up with crate loads of CDs & vinyl are long gone. The use of mp3s is still a grey area with regard to licensing both for storage and playing out. Guy will take a look at the role of mp3s for future generations of DJ, the importance of downloading legally and will discuss the issues with the current rules set out by PRS/MCPS.
